Ways to make your work day happy ..


Sometimes the daily commute to work can be incredibly long and stressful: from bumper to bumper traffic to elbow room on the train or bus. Some even take commuter flights to get to their destination, which takes even more time and effort just for the paycheck.

The daily commute to work can be filled with activities that can lend itself to a less stressful commute as well as an enjoyable one. Here are 3 ways that take the stress away, utilizes what is usually idle time or not productive time in a productive manner, and is enjoyable at the same time.
1. Set some reading goals
2. Sharpen the saw
3. Socialize or catch up on communication

If you are a driver, the number one concern is road safety. Please abide by all the rules before attempting any of these helpful hints on making your daily commute a better one.

1. Set some reading goals

The daily commute is the perfect place to catch up on your reading. If you are traveling 30 minute or more by bus, car, train or even an airplane, set a reading goal and make it a point to achieve that goal.  A reading goal could be: read a book a month or, finish the Bible in 12 months. These reading goals can be done in the car through books on tape/CD.

Taking the time to read within these 30 minute time frame (or listen) you can always get several pages or books in during your commute instead fighting desperately to squeeze 10 minutes a day at home to read – which, in most instances, other personal priorities take over and you then never get to read.

Create reading goals that are achievable and fulfilling! Make it a game, set pages up as a goal, and get the dust off those unread books off the shelf!

2. Sharpen the saw

Your brain is a terrible thing to waste, as they say. You constantly need to keep sharpening your brain skills – especially when you are stuck doing the same routine over and over at work.  A University study concluded that if you drive 12,000 miles a  year as part of your daily commute for three years, and listen to educational CDs during that commute, equates to a two year college education.

This is an incredible revelation for those who want to do more for themselves but never seem to have the time. Listen to books self improvement, leadership, economics, or any thing else that you may have been interested in but never had the time.  The cumulative effects is a healthy brain and, in three years, a 2 year college education!

3. Socialize or catch up on communication

Don’t wait to get home
to make your calls to your family or friends. Take care of it while you are commuting, that way you can limit yourself to that time frame for socializing. That way, your personal life will be filled with maybe more productive things outside of mindless time wasted on the phone.  By limiting yourself to the time frame of your daily commute can give yourself more time away from the job doing more productive things.
If you are on a train or bus, communicate with others. Enhance your social skills. A simple question can start off an hour’s worth of conversation: “So, what do you do?”  This could lead to personal as well as business relationships in the future. As you expand your circle of influence/friends, you are opening the doors for more opportunities.

These three tips on making your commute more enjoyable are meant to also improve yourself. Mindless gaming like a Nintendo Game Boy may lead to added stress and does not provide: 1) mind expansion, 2) a college education, and 3) an expansion of your social network.

Try these tips today and stick to it. Share your experience with other commuters and see where you are 90 days from now – you’ll definitely have read more books, you will be more educated, and you will have a bigger circle of friends.

सङ्घर्ष

हाम्रा पाइलापिच्छे सङ्घर्ष छन् ।गल्ली-गल्छेँडाहरुमा अप्ठेरा छन् ।उकाली-ओरालीहरुमा असजिला छन् ।प्रत्येक धड्कनमा चुनौती छन् ।आस्था र विश्वासका चुलीहरुमा असफलताका लहरहरु छन् । असफलताका लागि बाटो ढुक्ने छन् । हात समात्ने छन् ।विचार बिगार्ने छन् ।दृष्टान्त बगाल्ने छन् ।विश्वास पगाल्ने छन् । दु:खाउने छन् । रुवाउने छन् ।धम्क्याउने छन् । थर्काउने छन् ।मर्काउने छन् । मुक्क्याउने छन् । कोर्रा लाउने छन् । तसर्थ, यी सबैबाट बचेर अगाडि बढे मात्र पुगिन्छ गन्तव्यमा ।

तरकारी बजार

जीउनु छ भने खाना खानै  पर्दछ  या कुनै अरु माध्यमबाट शरिरमा पोषण तत्वको  भरण गरिनु पर्दछ , यो खाली जीउनकोलागि मात्र आवश्यक छैन ज्यानलाई चाहिने मात्रामा तागत दिन र बाह्य संक्रमणबाट बच्न पनि खाना खानु पर्ने हुन्छ ।

तरकारी
हाम्रो खानामा तरकारी उल्लेख्य मात्रामा रहेको हुन्छ । तरकारीलाई जनजिब्रोको भाषामा तिउन,सब्जी पनि भन्ने गरिन्छ ।तरकारीले हाम्रो खानामा मूख्यतया  भिटामीन,खनिज तथा प्रोटिनको मात्रा परिपुर्ति गर्दछ । ताजा तथा राम्ररी उत्पादन गरिएको तरकारीले हाम्रो स्वास्थ्यलाई राम्रो बनाउन मद्दत गर्दछ ।
तर  तरकारी प्राङ्गारिक रुपमा उत्पादन गरिएका हुदैनन् । बिभिन्न रसायनिक मल (युरिया,पोटास,फोस्फरस) मात्र राखेर उत्पादन गरिएका तरकारीहरु देख्नलाई राम्रो र पूर्ण देखिए पनि यसमा तामा,बोरोन,फलाम, जिन्क मलिब्डेनम लगायतका सुक्ष्म पोषण तत्व नदिइएकाले यो पोषिलो हुदैन । त्यसमाथि नाना विषादी र तिनको जथाभावी प्रयोगले तरकारीलाई विष नै बनाई दिन्छ ।


                                                 प्राङ्गारिक (organic) तरकारी खेती
त्यस माथि पनि उत्पादन स्थल देखि बिक्री स्थल सम्म आइपुग्दा तरकारीको अवस्था खराब भइसकेको हुन्छ ।

हाम्रो आफ्नै घरमा खाना बनाउने तरिका नमिल्दा पनि तरकारीमा रहेका पोषण तत्वहरु नाश हुन पुग्छन् ।
 
त्यसैले हामीले यी सबै कुरामा ध्यान दिनु जरुरी छ ।

स्वस्थानी व्रत

जाडोको याममा , बेलुकीको समयमा सिरकमा गुटमुटिएर स्वस्थानीको कथा सुन्न मजा बेग्लै हुने गर्थ्यो । हुन त कहिले काहीँ आमाको छुइ भएको बेलामा पूजा गर्नुपर्ने अभिभारा बोक्नुपरे पनि मलाई स्वस्थानीको याम रमाइलो लाग्ने गर्दथ्यो । वर्षको १ पटक सालिनदी पनि पुगिएकै हुन्थ्यो । थाह छैन कैयौँ वर्ष देखि सुन्दै आएको एउटै कथालाई दोहोर्‌याई दोहोर्‌याई सुन्दा पनि त्यती बिध्न रमाइलो किन लागेको हो । विशेष त पाचौँ अध्यायको त्रिपुर दहन मलाई सह्रै मन पर्ने गर्दथ्यो । कुमारले ताराकाक्षको शिरकाटेको  , गोमाको दुःख र पछि ऐश्वर्य प्राप्ति साथै स्कन्द पुराणका अनेकन कथा बोकेर बनेको स्वस्थानी साच्चै नै मलाई अहिले पनि रोचक लाग्छ ।साच्चैँ मेरो वाल्यकालमा मैले स्व को सिद्धान्त (स्व‌ धर्म , स्व स्थान ) नबुझेको भए पनि मेरो मानसपटलमा तिनै तस्विरहरु डुलिरहेको हुन्थ्यो र डुलिरहन्छ अहिले पनि ।

मेरा स्वस्थानीका कथा कुनै किम्वदन्ती नै किन नहुन् मालाई त्यसमा मेरो बाल्यकालको याद आउँछ , कथासँगै आमाका अर्तिहरुको याद आउँछ ।  मेरो संस्कारमा मलाई गौरव लाग्छ ।तर मसँग अहिले ती दिनका याद मात्र बाँकी छन् । के ती दिनहरु फेरि  फर्किएर आउलान् ?
